Every year since the Foundation’s inception, a special Ramadan and Sallah intervention is carried out whereby assorted food items are distributed to selected needy families within Gombe Metropolis. The Intervention is usually done in two to three phases where the first batch of beneficiaries come to the Foundation’s Office to collect the items and the second batch of items are distributed by members of the Foundation house-to-house and door-to-door. The Sallah intervention on the other hand consist of Sallah clothing given to selected orphan children (males and females). In addition to fabrics, the females are given hijab yards and a tailoring fee to sew both the fabric and the hijab according to their size. The males are also sometimes given caps and tailoring fees to sew their fabrics according to their sizes. This intervention is also done in batches, as mentioned above. These interventions have gone a long way in putting a smile on the faces of orphans and giving relief to families during a significant part of the month of Ramadan.
