WAQF AMBASSADORS WORKSHOP (2022)

Day 1: Pre-Inauguration:

The workshop commenced on the 22nd of December with a pre-inauguration event. Participants were introduced to the workshop’s objectives and expectations, promoting networking and collaboration among attendees.

DAY 2: 23rd DECEMBER: PRESENTATIONS AND GROUP DISCUSSION

On the 23rd of December, the workshop focused on informative presentations and engaging group discussions. Experts, scholars, and practitioners shared their knowledge and experiences, enhancing participants’ understanding of waqf, untapped opportunities in ICT, Agriculture and its applications.

24th December: Formal Opening: The formal opening ceremony of the workshop took place on the 24th of December. Esteemed dignitaries and keynote speakers emphasized the importance of waqf and its potential to address societal challenges, and the event was chaired by the provost Federal College of Education (T), Gombe Dr. Ali Adamu Boderi

WAQF AMBASSADORS FOLLOW UP TRAINING SERIES

After the intensive 2-day training, Zakah and Waqf Foundation organized series of workshop to ambassadors to expand their thinking horizon through soft skills toward improving their living standard and subsequently becoming employers and Waqeefs (Endowers). The Trainings which held on every last Sunday of the month from 9:00am to 11:00am were blessed different recourse persons which includes: The chairman of the Foundation, Ameer Abdullahi Abubakar Lamido, and Dr. Sadiq Abubakar, chairman Umma Gombe State. The series of trainings which the participant were exposed with include: Financial Intelligence, Time Management, Waqf Management, Personal Development and Leadership, Reading Culture and Leadership skills for Islamic Volunteer work. etc. Below are some still pictures of all the trainings.

CONCLUSION

 The Zakah and Waqf Foundation’s Waqf Ambassadors Workshop held throughout the year 2022 witnessed a series of impactful events and activities. The foundation’s commitment to promoting waqf and zakah, as well as empowering individuals as advocates for waqf initiatives, has contributed to the development and betterment of communities. The workshop’s success is a testament to the foundation’s dedication to Islamic principles and the positive impact it strives to create in society.
