The Zakah and Waqf Foundation in Gombe marked the commencement of its Grand Ramadan Programme 1445/2024 with the distribution of food items to over 100 households, benefiting various groups including the less privileged, disabled individuals, and motherless orphans.
Concurrently, the Women Empowerment Unit celebrated the graduation of 60 women and the enrollment of 60 new participants who received empowerment training and capital to initiate their businesses.
Additionally, the programme saw the graduation of 60 young girls aged 15-23 years in various skills such as bead making, shoe making, and tailoring, who also enrolled 60 girls in similar programs.
Among the programs, the graduation of the Waqf Ambassadors 2022 set stood out as a testament to the foundation’s commitment to youth development and community engagement.
